At Eigen Haard, you’ll join about 700 colleagues in helping to create a city where everyone can live comfortably. As one of the largest housing associations in the Netherlands, we work every day to build neighborhoods where people feel at home. To do this, we need a financial administration system that’s rock-solid. And as a team coordinator, you’ll play a key role in making that happen.
With us, you’ll work in a hybrid, creative environment with flexible hours and a personal training budget to help you continue growing professionally. We offer a place where colleagues trust, support, and challenge one another to achieve the best results together.
Would you like to help us provide even better service to our tenants and internal clients?
We are looking for a:
Team Coordinator, Accounts Payable Service Desk
Amsterdam – 36 hours per week
This is your job:
The Finance Service Desk is part of the Finance & Control division and consists of four teams:
- Rental unit data management, including lease renewals and rent increases
- The financial administration of tenant services, including service charge statements
- Supplier financial accounting, including the processing of purchase invoices
- The Finance Back Office, including the payment of purchase invoices
As the Team Coordinator for the Finance Accounts Payable Service Desk, you will work within one of these four teams. In this role, your responsibilities will include the following:
- You foster effective collaboration within your team and provide professional guidance to your colleagues. In doing so, you ensure that Eigen Haard receives optimal support through accurate, complete, timely, and authorized administrative records. The goal: effective and efficient service delivery, as well as an optimal employee and customer experience.
- You will work closely with the Finance Service Point Manager and the other team coordinators. You will support them in their day-to-day work and stand in for the manager on operational matters as needed.
- You coach and develop your team members. You optimize your team’s quantitative and qualitative capacity and staffing, conduct performance reviews, manage absenteeism and leave, and foster a respectful, transparent, and dedicated work environment. A work environment where employees feel safe, trust one another, take responsibility, and where knowledge sharing and flexibility are central—so that team goals, both now and in the future, are achieved.
- You serve as the point of contact for your staff regarding day-to-day, corrective, and improvement tasks. This includes, among other things, liaising with purchasers and budget managers regarding the processing of purchase orders and invoices.
- Together with your team, you provide service and support to internal clients (such as purchasers) and external parties (such as suppliers).
- You play a key role in improving (procurement) processes, systems, and data. You identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and assist with their implementation. In doing so, you collaborate with other teams within Servicepunt Finance and with departments such as IT, Procurement, and operational colleagues.
- You stay abreast of developments in digitization and automation. You actively explore how these can help improve the department’s services. To stay at the forefront of these developments, you maintain a network both within and outside the organization.
This is your team:
Your team ensures the reliable and efficient processing of financial transactions within Eigen Haard, specifically purchase invoices and payments. Working together with other departments, your team focuses on improving processes related to purchasing, payments, and receipts, with the goal of providing a high level of service to both internal colleagues and external suppliers and tenants.
Why you (hopefully) are our new colleague:
Because
- You have (at least) a college-level education and way of thinking;
- You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong communication skills are essential for this position and are therefore a core competency we look for in candidates.
- You have experience in a managerial or supervisory role;
- You’re a good coach, which means you empower others to bring out the best in themselves and invest in their ability to solve problems on their own;
- You are customer- and people-oriented: you quickly understand what others need and can translate this into direction, structure, and clear expectations;
- You have well-developed abstract thinking skills and take a big-picture approach;
- You are good at switching between different topics and themes;
- Ideally, you have knowledge of the processes, systems, and data described, as well as relevant laws and regulations, and are able to keep your knowledge in these areas up to date and apply it to processes within the organization.
