System Administrator

As an all-around IT staff member, you and your colleagues on the I&A team are responsible for the continuity and quality of our IT systems. You ensure that everyone can work smoothly and securely.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Serving as the first point of contact for IT questions and issues.
• Resolving second-line incidents.
• The provision and management of workstations.
• Configuration, incident, and change management using Topdesk.

Depending on your experience and career goals, you can also focus on:

• Management of the server environment in Microsoft Azure.
• Identity management via HelloID.
• Guidance and support for Microsoft 365.
• Implementation of information security policies.
• Infrastructure management (Fortigate, Aruba, Cisco).

• You have knowledge of Windows workstations, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Intune.
• You should ideally have experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Topdesk.

• You have a driver's license.
• You enjoy working as part of an inclusive team that puts the user first.

Here's what you'll get from us

At the Amsterdam-Amstelland Safety Region, you can work with a great team where you’ll have opportunities to grow in your role.

• Salary in pay grade 8 ranging from €3,010 to €4,302 per month based on a 36-hour workweek
• A job for 32–36 hours a week
• An individual flexible spending account (IFSA) equal to 18.63% of the gross annual salary. This includes the year-end bonus and vacation pay
• 187.2 hours of leave based on a 36-hour workweek, including 43.2 hours of overtime. May 1 and 5 are fixed days off (10.3 hours); these are included in this total.
• A one-year appointment, with the possibility of a permanent position
• A generous pension plan through ABP, 70% of which is paid by us
• The option to work remotely with a work-from-home allowance of €3 per day
• Monthly health insurance premium
• Free access to all sports facilities and classes at the fire stations
• We place a strong emphasis on (personal) development, offering opportunities to participate in courses, training sessions, and workshops.
• The opportunity to take on an on-call position in addition to your regular job

The team

I&A is responsible for managing the safety region’s IT environment. I&A oversees the ongoing development of the technical architecture and serves as the primary point of contact for a wide range of IT matters.  

I&A creates and maintains a reliable work environment that is well-suited to user needs, regulations, and safety standards.
