More about this organization
Four healthcare workers from St. Antonius Hospital are sitting side by side on a bench in a modern room, smiling.

Play a key role in coordinating, facilitating, and optimizing the grant processes and internship planning at St. Antonius Hospital, from concept to implementation. In this versatile position (24–32 hours per week), you’ll have plenty of opportunity to contribute your own ideas and work in an ambitious and inspiring environment.

What will you be doing?

As a grant advisor, you are the driving force behind the grant processes related to training programs at the Antonius Academy. You identify grant opportunities, spot and capitalize on potential, and actively contribute to the development of new funding streams. You coordinate the entire application process: from conducting research and answering inquiries to drafting and submitting grant proposals. You ensure the efficient organization of work processes, including budgets, and contribute to streamlined annual planning. You maintain contact with stakeholders both within and outside the hospital and act as a bridge between substantive goals and formal requirements set by laws and regulations. Thanks to your coordinating and advisory role, grants are utilized optimally and effectively accounted for to grant providers. In addition, you are also responsible for coordinating efficient internship planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • drafting and submitting grant applications in close collaboration with internal and external colleagues;
  • ensuring the proper accounting and financial processing of grants awarded, in collaboration with the controller;
  • monitoring the progress of grant applications and ensuring compliance with the established conditions;
  • advising management on relevant grant opportunities;
  • maintaining contact with grant providers and other relevant agencies.

Your workplace

You will be working at the Antonius Academy in Utrecht alongside another grant advisor and three administrative staff members. When one of you is absent, you and the other advisor will cover each other’s duties. You will also work closely with the business controller and report to the department head. We are striving for an ambitious future and want to build our success together with you.

That is why we have our own academy! The Antonius Academy offers a wide range of training programs and opportunities for professionals to learn and develop their skills. Our program is led by experienced instructors, trainers, and experts from both the hospital and the academy. We believe that people who are eager to learn and curious contribute to a high-quality, safe, and innovative work environment. And that is exactly what we aim to achieve at the Antonius Academy.

Your talents

We are looking for an energetic and decisive colleague with a strong sense of responsibility. You work with precision and pick up on tasks quickly. You are energized by developing a long-term vision and know how to translate it into concrete goals and processes.

To make this job a success, you’ll need the following:

  • A completed associate's degree in a relevant field (such as business administration, business economics, or another suitable field)
  • Experience with grant applications and reporting;
  • Knowledge of relevant grant programs in the healthcare sector (pre);
  • Strong analytical skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills;
  • An interest in finance.

We offer

  • A one-year contract for 24–32 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent position.
  • A gross monthly salary of €3,923–€5,746 ( ), based on a 36-hour workweek, depending on your experience and education (FWG 60, collective labor agreement for hospitals).
  • Excellent benefits package, including a 13th month’s salary, an attractive pension plan, and a flexible hours allowance that you can use for parental leave or extra vacation days, for example.
  • Great perks to choose from, such as a discount on a new bike, a gym membership, a cell phone, a tablet, or a laptop.
  • A wide range of training opportunities tailored to your goals and role.
  • Participation in the "Sterk in je Werk" program and our online platform, Antonius Fit.
