As a Strategic Project Manager for Business Development, your challenge is to help JINC make an impact in vocational education and abroad. You will initiate, structure, manage, and monitor these projects, among others. With energy, perseverance, and a predominantly positive outlook on life, you inspire those around you to take action. And you ensure you get what you need, whether from management, colleagues, or external stakeholders.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
As a Strategic Project Manager for Business Development (32 hours, start date to be agreed upon)
, you’ll be part of our new Business Development department and report directly to the Director of Business Development. Vocational education (MBO) and international markets are both relatively new areas for JINC. You will lead these projects from start to finish. This means you have strong analytical skills (concept and project plan development with input from stakeholders) and can set a clear course for the project while taking into account the interests of stakeholders and the internal organization (stakeholder management, project plan execution). In addition, you will ensure a sustainable business model in both markets so that we can continue to make an impact on children. In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Director.
Here’s what your workday will look like
You have a meeting with a partner company to assess whether they can assist us with our international strategy. Back at the office, you draft a collaboration proposal and update the project plan. Next, you have a team meeting with the internal MBO project group. You update them on the latest developments and initiate a discussion about financing options. In the afternoon, you contact JINC Belgium to assess their needs, so you can incorporate this input into defining our role as a franchisee. You end the day with a project staff member responsible for implementing a pilot job application training program at the MBO.
Take this with you

About JINC
At JINC, we believe every child deserves a fair chance. However, for children growing up in an environment with fewer role models, it is difficult to get a good start in the job market. That is why we help young people aged 8 to 16 with career orientation in the workplace, teaching (social) skills, and workshops on entrepreneurship.
JINC is a national non-profit organization with over 150 employees. Approximately 1,300 companies make our projects possible through financial support and by volunteering employees, for example as trainers or coaches. This allows us to reach over 65,000 elementary, vocational, and VMBO students annually from Amsterdam, Arnhem, Breda, Delft, Flevoland, Groningen, Haaglanden, Kennemerland, Leeuwarden, Leiden, East Brabant, Rotterdam-Rijnmond, Tilburg, Utrecht, Zaanstad, and South Limburg.
