Are you making a difference in public housing? Wooncompas is looking for a politically savvy and enterprising strategic advisor who can link our spatial and social challenges and translate them into realistic, actionable programs.
Everyone joins in
“Everyone Participates” is the title of our corporate strategy. Wooncompas is a socially responsible and innovative housing association serving Ridderkerk, Barendrecht, Albrandswaard, and Rotterdam. We operate based on our core values ofbeing people-oriented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial, and we are committed every day to providing affordable, sustainable, and future-proof housing. In doing so, we leverage the strength of our networks and the creativity of our employees to find solutions to the major challenges we face. At Wooncompas, housing is about more than just a home. We build strong neighborhoods where people feel at home, feel connected to others, and can use their talents to benefit their community. In this way, we create space for a community where everyone counts—and participates.
Our goals
’s Real Estate Plan Over the next ten years, we aim to significantly expand our housing stock and make it more sustainable: 3,500 new homes, 2,000 of which will be in Rotterdam-Zuid. This growth goes hand in hand with our social mission: strengthening neighborhoods, improving quality of life, and creating future-proof homes. In doing so, we look beyond construction alone. We make strategic choices about where and how we develop, invest in circular construction and energy-efficient solutions, and tackle climate challenges such as heat stress and flooding. In this way, we ensure that every investment contributes to strong, healthy, and sustainable communities.- Breaking Through Society and Systems
We operate in a complex environment marked by growing inequality, pressure on quality of life, and often rigid regulations. Polarization in society calls for strategic choices that take diverse interests and perspectives into account. Our ambition is to put people and communities at the center and to transform or break through restrictive systems. This requires strategic insight into how policies and regulations work, the smart use of leeway within laws and regulations, and the building of strong coalitions with municipalities, healthcare and social services providers, and other partners. The role of the strategist is crucial here: connecting the organization’s internal and external worlds to create solutions that truly make a difference for the people who live there. - Organizational Development
Perhaps the biggest change lies within our own organization. We are shifting from a top-down approach to one that fosters greater ownership and initiative at all levels. We also aim to integrate the capabilities of data and AI into all our processes. This requires room for new ideas, but also clear decision-making, so that we stay on our strategic course and make a real impact.
