Strategic Advisor for Education & Quality

What are you going to do?

The Education & Quality Department plays a key role in advising on pedagogical strategies, innovation in learning processes, the social impact of education, and quality development. The Deltion Strategy, educational vision, laws and regulations, and the MBO Work Agenda guide our advice and policy proposals. We are often involved in their implementation within the organization.

In vocational education, we face the challenge of making our programs more flexible and designing them in closer collaboration with the professional field. At Deltion, we are increasingly preparing students for lifelong learning and, in addition to our initial programs, we also offer retraining, continuing education, and professional development courses for professionals. This is to ensure that young people and working adults in the Zwolle region who are seeking to learn remain adaptable and employable. We see Deltion as a meeting place for our students and staff.

In your role as a strategic advisor, you are responsible for fostering educational innovation and quality improvement. You do this by providing proactive advice, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and anticipating national trends and developments. You will work closely with colleagues and external experts to develop a shared vision on educational topics and integrate it within the organization, thereby strengthening Deltion’s overall development and capacity for learning. As a team player, you enjoy collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal results.

Who are you?

An inspiring, collaborative, and results-oriented advisor with a university-level education and mindset. You possess excellent advisory and writing skills and an independent, critical way of thinking. You are passionate about issues related to equal opportunity, student guidance, student well-being, citizenship, pedagogy, and social safety. With a broad knowledge of pedagogy, educational innovation, and quality policy, you are able to work with the team to translate complex topics into concrete policy recommendations and provide support for policy implementation. As a visionary thinker, you easily switch between strategic, tactical, and operational levels and know how to engage others in your vision of education and quality. You know how to appropriately channel any differences of opinion toward a win-win situation. You possess project and change management skills focused on developing (multi-year) projects/programs and know how to implement them in close collaboration with other stakeholders. You are a true “finisher.” Finally, you are eager to take on the challenge of further strengthening Bureau O&K together with your immediate colleagues.

We’re offering you an initial one-year contract with the possibility of a permanent position.

In addition, based on a 40-hour workweek, we offer you:

• a gross monthly salary between €4,452 and €6,488 (pay grade 12). We will take into account your previous salary and your work experience;
• 8% vacation pay and an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%;
• 10 weeks of leave per year;
• a work-from-home policy that strikes a balance and supports hybrid work, such as providing a laptop and phone;
• a flexible travel expense policy tailored to your situation. You’ll also enjoy tax benefits if you purchase an (electric) bicycle;
