The Concertgebouw is one of the most visited concert halls in the world, hosting over 900 events and welcoming more than 730,000 visitors each year. The acoustics of our halls are world-renowned; nowhere else does classical music sound more beautiful. But we offer much more than just classical music: you can also enjoy pop, jazz, film music, hip-hop, children’s concerts, and much more. We are responsible for 95% of our own revenue. With an enthusiastic, close-knit, and friendly team, we create unforgettable experiences for our visitors.

What does your team look like?
Within the Marketing, Communications, and Sales department, you will be part of the MIOS (Marketing Intelligence & Online Sales) team. Although this position falls under the MIOS team, your responsibilities will cover the entire MCV department.
The position
We are looking for an intern starting in September 2024 (start date and duration to be determined). This is a work-based internship, not a graduation internship.
This is a varied role because you’ll be working across three departments: Marketing, Marketing Intelligence & Online Sales, and Content. As a result, you’ll have a wide range of tasks and responsibilities:
- Setting up online ads: You’ll help create and manage online ad campaigns to promote our concerts and events
- Analyzing results: You review the performance of our marketing activities and draw valuable insights from them
- Update the concert calendar: You’ll ensure that our concert calendar is up to date on external platforms, so our audience is always informed about the latest concerts
- Launching ads on new platforms: You’ll be the driving force behind our ads (not organic content) on new platforms such as Spotify, TikTok, and Snapchat. You’ll develop and implement (under our guidance) creative content strategies to expand our reach
- Creating newsletters: You’ll help create and send out newsletters to keep our fans and followers informed about upcoming concerts
- Maintaining the website: You will help keep our website up to date so that all information is always current and relevant
What do we offer?
- Internship stipend: A monthly stipend of €525 for your hard work and contribution to our team
- Inspiring workplace: A unique opportunity to work in one of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, right in the heart of Amsterdam
- Great coworkers: You’ll be joining a close-knit and enthusiastic team of professionals who are eager to share their knowledge and experience with you
Does this sound like the perfect internship for you? If so, please send your resume and a brief cover letter to Gerben ten Thij (g.tenthij@concertgebouw.nl). We look forward to hearing from you!
