The Performing Arts Fund is the cultural fund for music, theater, musical theater, dance, and festivals in the Netherlands. On behalf of the national government, the Fund provides support for all forms of professional performing arts and plays a key role in fostering dynamism and innovation within the performing arts.
Our organization is committed to fostering a vibrant performing arts scene that appeals to as wide an audience as possible and is firmly rooted in society. We do this while embracing diverse perspectives and artists and performers from a variety of genres.
The Fund offers multi-year grants, programming and production grants, and individual awards. We also offer programs to stimulate new initiatives, present various performing arts awards, and focus on the international promotion of Dutch performing arts.

What will you be doing?
As a communications officer at the Fund, you will help build a community of external advisors. These advisors play a crucial role in awarding grants to organizations and companies active in the performing arts.
Through engaging content and the use of the right mix of tools, you’ll inspire and engage the target audience. You’ll also help formulate the internal communication strategy and develop new, modern communication tools.
- You will share responsibility for developing and implementing internal communications within the Fund and managing the intranet.
- You will be responsible for communications with advisors, utilizing various communication channels such as newsletters, webinars, the intranet, and social media. In this way, you will help strengthen the connection between the Fund and the advisors.
- You will draft standard letters and invitations and manage our social media accounts.
- You identify the needs of consultants and the colleagues who support them, and gather insights from the community.
- You will help further professionalize our communications efforts and develop new types of content to engage advisors with the Fund.
What are you bringing?
- You have a degree in communications (at least at the associate’s degree level) and at least 3 years of relevant experience in a communications role.
- You have extensive experience in developing and implementing communication tools (both online and offline) and are familiar with the latest trends and developments.
- You are a skilled writer and have experience with CMS systems, the professional use of social media, and communicating with a wide range of audiences.
- You are proactive and readily delegate tasks to colleagues when necessary.
- Your key competencies include: being attuned to your surroundings, well-organized, practical, and results-oriented; having a focus on relationships and collaboration; being energetic; and having an affinity for the cultural sector.

- A monthly salary starting at €3,119.04 (depending on age and experience).
