Job Description

What will you be doing as a Procurement and Finance Specialist? 

The job description is as follows: 

• Performing financial administration (bookkeeping and processing payments have been outsourced to the Financial Services Center)
• Monitoring and overseeing procurement processes
• Recording, managing, and interpreting contracts in accordance with the relevant procurement procedure
• Proactively gathering information about contractual agreements
• Entering data into SAP (accounts payable and accounts receivable)
• Generating reports from SAP and P-Direkt on your own
• Advising, informing, and supporting colleagues
• Conducting financial audits
• Contribute to improvements in work processes
• You will serve as a sounding board for your fellow Procurement and Finance Specialist and for the business controller
• The position is part of the Control, Finance, and Procurement cluster within the Operations Department. 

Job Requirements

• You have a vocational education (MBO) level of work and thinking, as demonstrated by a relevant degree and/or relevant work experience. For example, a degree in vocational (business) administration or business economics
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• You have an affinity for and knowledge of finance and procurement
• You are detail-oriented and able to maintain a clear overview; you enjoy the challenge of keeping everything in order and monitoring progress so that you can provide others with accurate and complete information
• You are decisive, respond effectively to ad hoc requests, and enjoy switching between different tasks
• You have good interpersonal skills, and when necessary, you address issues with your colleagues
• Ability to work effectively with various systems (knowledge of SAP is a plus, but not required)
• Work experience in the federal government is preferred

Terms of Employment

Salary level: Grade 9

Monthly salary: Min. €3,484 – Max. €4,868 (gross)

Employment status: Fixed-term employment contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent contract

Contract duration: 1 year

Minimum number of hours per week: 32

Maximum number of hours per week: 32

In addition to your salary, you will receive an Individual Choice Budget (ICB). The ICB consists of money (16.50% of your gross annual salary) and time.
