Social Media Editor

NPO Blend is a pilot project by the public broadcaster and will be available for at least one year starting in January 2024 via DAB+ and NPO Luister. NPO Blend offers a varied mix of R&B, Afro, new soul, hip-hop, and plenty of classics from the ’90s and 2000s. It targets culturally diverse Dutch listeners between the ages of 35 and 54 who have outgrown FunX and are looking for music, news, culture, and stories that resonate with them.

We are currently looking for a Social Media Editor ( 36 hours per week)

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Manage NPO Blend’s social media accounts and provide content that reflects current events and resonates with our target audience;
• Create engaging videos, Reels, and articles, and share them in an accessible way on Facebook, X, and Instagram;
• Managing your own content calendar;
• Writing articles for the NPO Blend website;
• With your original topics and perspectives, you’ll not only enrich social media but also provide content for NTR radio programs on NPO Blend;
• Actively responding to and addressing questions, comments, and feedback from our followers on social media;
• Get a sense of public opinion by conducting real-time polls on Instagram.

This is you:

• Excited about the principles of NPO Blend and the NTR;
• Familiar with FunX from 15 to 20 years ago;
• An experienced social media or online editor;
• An expert on the best times of day to publish content;
• Connected to your target audience: you know who they are, where they are, and how to engage and serve them with relevant content;
• An expert at writing engaging, compelling content for social media on their own;
• Skilled in creating video content for social media;
• Proven experience with programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop;
• With a wealth of original ideas and strong analytical skills, this combination allows you to know exactly what to do to optimize the conversion and performance of social media content.

We offer:  

A contract through December 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position is compensated within salary grade F (€2,711.87 – €3,988.60) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for broadcasting personnel.
