Do you want to work toward a democracy that is resilient against subversive external influences? Do you want to contribute to the further development of the area-based approach to countering subversion? And, in doing so, play a part in protecting and revitalizing our public administration? Then we’re looking for you!
Efforts to build a resilient government include better protecting elected officials and civil servants from threats and intimidation, as well as ensuring their safety at home. In addition, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations is committed to supporting municipalities in their efforts to address issues in vulnerable areas. This includes promoting a data-driven approach to combating subversion in vacation parks and tackling unscrupulous slumlords in vulnerable areas.
We do this through legislation and regulations, as well as by developing guidelines and conducting monitoring. The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations also encourages the development and dissemination of knowledge and experiences, including through learning communities and research.
In this way, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations contributes to the broader mission of the Ministry of Justice and Security to combat organized subversive crime. This is a complex task that requires extensive coordination with municipalities, the police, and the Public Prosecution Service, as well as other ministries and enforcement agencies such as the FIOD and Customs. This coordination takes place, among other things, in various strategic consultations, such as the Strategic Security Consultation, the Strategic Consultation on Subversion, the G40 Security Group, and the Ministerial Commission on Combating Subversion.
Are you the policy officer who can help us effectively position the public administration within the approach outlined above? And who can ensure that the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations has a strong voice in the aforementioned consultations? And who can prepare for these consultations quickly and effectively in collaboration with other participants? And who can take on a number of substantive issues related to area-specific subversion?
We are looking for an energetic team player who can bring in new knowledge and networks within a dynamic political and administrative context. You will collaborate in innovative ways with other departments both within and outside the ministry on the policy issues and consultations you organize. In addition, you will support the minister by drafting clear texts for letters and parliamentary questions.
