Would you like to work alongside passionate colleagues to create a world where people and nature thrive? And help build a “nature-positive” impact in the world’s most biodiverse landscapes by mobilizing people? That’s what you’ll be doing when you work at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF-NL).
WWF-NL is a professional and dynamic organization with a casual work environment based in Zeist. The organization consists of the following departments: Conservation, Engagement, Organization & Talent Development, and Finance & Operations. To strengthen the Engagement department, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager for the WWF MDT program(36 hours)
Through the MDT (Community Service) program “More Nature,” we inspire young people to make a difference toward a nature-positive society: together, we’re working to bring more nature to the Netherlands! Over the course of three years, we aim to offer a basic MDT program to 1,400 young people at various schools across the country, covering different grade levels, where they will gain valuable tools, skills, and experience. We are collaborating with three partners and at least four schools.
To make sure everything runs smoothly, we’re looking for you!
We are, in fact, your home base; the eagle with a bird’s-eye view who meticulously gathers all the information needed to roll out, report on, evaluate, and optimize the MDT program. You are the link between the partners, teachers, and the ministry regarding participation in and implementation of the MDT project.
You’re often on the go, but as the face of the MDT within the organization, you also spread your wings at home to ensure that internal communication within the MDT project runs smoothly. While enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, you’ll whip up reports, keep a close eye on budgets, and—thanks in part to your field experience—contribute creative ideas toward the marketing goals for Youth within the Youth and Education team.
Here’s a quick overview of what you’ll be doing:
- Close Coordination: You will serve as the central point of contact for our partners, the youth panel, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, and close coordination is a given.
- Program Implementation: From creating the schedule to managing materials, you’ll work with the team to ensure the practical and appropriate implementation of the program for the schools.
- Process Management: You meticulously track every step of the process, promoting efficiency in the team’s processes and systems.
- Events and Activities: You play a key role in the success of our events and activities and occasionally visit the schools.
- Reporting: responsible for reporting to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, including evaluations and audits.
- Research Coordination: You will coordinate various research projects, ranging from data collection to impact studies.
- Budget management: You will be responsible for tracking the budget, including co-funding from WWF-NL and partners.
- Point of contact: As the primary point of contact for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, partners, internal WWF staff, and the youth panel, you are the link that keeps everything running smoothly.
- Creative Driver: You’ll help shape the marketing objectives for the Youth target audience as part of the Youth & Education Marketing team.
