Would you like to work alongside passionate colleagues to create a world where people and nature thrive? And help build a “nature-positive” impact in the world’s most biodiverse landscapes by mobilizing people? That’s what you’ll be doing when you work at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF NL).
WWF-NL is a professional and dynamic organization with a casual work environment based in Zeist. The working languages at the office are English and Dutch.
The organization consists of the following departments: Conservation, Engagement, Organization & Talent Development, and Finance & Operations. To strengthen the Engagement department, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager for Public Funding (32–36 hours per week).
You will be joining the PSP & Foundations team, where you will raise funds for WWF projects with the Dutch government and the EU that aim to build a better world. As a Public Funding Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and quality control of project proposals submitted to public donors. You will identify trends and opportunities within the sector and initiate new partnerships. You will work closely with colleagues from other departments to develop compelling proposals for nature conservation projects (including budgets) that align with the donor’s needs and requirements. In addition to drafting proposals, you will also ensure that all relevant information is delivered in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner.
Within the Public Sector Partnerships & Foundations team, we work together on projects and support one another as needed. As a project manager, you will report to the Head of Partnerships & Fundraising and work closely with colleagues from other teams within WWF-NL and the international WWF Network.
The role of Senior Project Manager for Public Funding aims to increase WWF’s revenue from public funding. To achieve this, it is important that you understand the donors and the requirements and processes involved in their funding. In addition, you excel at translating project ideas into substantively interesting and compelling proposals, which you develop and write both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. With your enthusiasm, energy, and drive to collaborate, you know how to engage and connect colleagues and other departments. Your focus allows you to set the right priorities and keep the organization’s goals on track. Together with the team, you keep each other on their toes and support one another where needed.
