Senior Producer

We are looking for a Senior Producer to join our Culture editorial team, effective January 15, 2024

Here's what you'll be doing: 

• Managing the various program teams within the Culture editorial department, including:

1. the teams at 3FM and Soul & Jazz (radio, social media, online content)
2. Festival registrations for North Sea Jazz, Pinkpop, and EurosonicNoorderslag
3. the online cultural platform NPO Cultuur
4. programming for NPO2Extra, including ADE and Art Department.
5. Serious Request…and so much more!

• Act as the linchpin of the editorial team;
• Lead the teams in a positive and inspiring way and foster a pleasant, constructive, and productive atmosphere in the newsroom;
• In consultation with the editor-in-chief, prepare program budgets and manage the budget, overseeing all approved budgets and taking timely action in the event of underspending or overspending;
• Make arrangements with freelance staff or external parties within the given guidelines;
• Monitor the progress of all production runs.

This is you: 

• A highly experienced producer or production manager with a track record in radio, TV, and online productions; experience in event recording is a plus;
• Someone who can juggle multiple projects and tasks without losing track of the big picture and who clearly understands where the priorities lie;
• Skilled in preparing budgets; experience with (CoBO) grant applications is a plus;
• Someone who connects easily with others, communicates clearly, and naturally follows through on commitments; 
• Able to bring out the best in your colleagues through your own enthusiasm, ideas, and critical questions; 
• Willing and able to work on our programs outside of regular office hours: we develop some of our programs on the weekends, so we may ask for your help then as well if necessary. 

We offer:  

A one-year contract, with the possibility of extension. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position is compensated within salary grade G (€3,118.48 – €4,757.41) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for broadcasting personnel.
