
In the coming years, the Stedelijk Museum Breda will evolve into a socio-cultural platform that extends not only within the museum building but also into public spaces, the digital realm, and through participatory projects. Through a combination of permanent and temporary exhibitions, the museum aims to attract 80,000 to 100,000 paying visitors per year.
With its new permanent exhibitions , *The Nassaus of Breda – Castle, City, and Countryside* and *Ambition & Desire – Breda in the19th Century *, Museum Breda is placing a strong emphasison families. Through these exhibitions, combined with ambitious educational and engagement programs, the museum aims to further expand its audience reach. The Programs and Audience team plays a key role in this effort.
To strengthen our Program and Audience team, we are looking for a people-oriented, innovative, and inspiring

As a Senior Program and Audience Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing activities and projects in the areas of education, participation, and audience engagement. You will contribute to shaping policies related to education and participation and how these translate into our programming. You are a connector and innovator with a clear vision of the museum’s role in society. Based on your vision, you can develop projects and programs in open collaboration with colleagues, partners, and target audiences. You are critical, curious, and driven by content. You make decisions within clear frameworks to achieve goals and work in a results-oriented manner. You have at least five years of experience in a similar position and are looking for an environment where you can continue to develop personally and professionally.
You will be part of a team of dedicated professionals. You will report to the Head of Programming and Audience Engagement and work closely with other departments in a proactive, engaged, and positive manner.

The position is classified in pay grade 9 of the museum collective bargaining agreement, with the possibility of advancement to pay grade 10 based on satisfactory performance. We’ll start with a one-year contract. You’ll also receive a competitive benefits package, including a year-end bonus of 3.4% and enrollment in the ABP Pension Fund.
