At HKU Fine Arts, we are looking for a Senior Faculty Administrative Assistant with a passion for organization and education.
Where will you be working?
With over 4,000 students, HKU is the largest university of the arts in the Netherlands and one of the largest educational institutions in Europe focused on art, culture, and the creative industries. HKU offers a wide range of programs across nine schools.
You will be working at the School of Visual Arts for the bilingual Fine Art program. The School of Visual Arts supports the Code for Cultural Diversity. What will you be doing?
- You will independently handle the preparation and execution of management support tasks, which are both organizational and logistical in nature.
- You will support and streamline the implementation of various work processes and provide management information. Because you have the courage to take the initiative in launching and developing innovations, you are able to think outside the box.
- You're an excellent organizer.
- You will perform all standard secretarial and administrative (including financial) tasks, such as managing schedules, handling email, and taking minutes.
- You will help ensure effective internal communication within the school and assist in organizing meetings, both internal and external.
- You may also organize trips abroad and exchange programs.
- You will also assist with the processing of invoices and expense reports.
- You are someone who prefers to work in teams where diversity and inclusivity among colleagues contribute to the quality of the work.
What do you bring to the table?
- HBO-level academic and intellectual ability;
- Experience in management support;
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English;
- Good communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain an overview;
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team;
- A flexible basic posture;
- An interest in art education and the creativity that goes with it.

What do we offer?
- For this position, we offer a salary in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for higher professional education (CBA-HBO) as well as attractive benefits.
- The gross monthly salary for a full-time position ranges from a minimum of €2,688 to a maximum of €3,692 (pay grade 8), depending on education and experience, excluding an 8% vacation allowance and an end-of-year bonus (8.3%).
- This is a temporary position for one year. An extension is not out of the question.
- The benefits package is excellent, including a generous leave policy, membership in the ABP pension fund, sports and recreational facilities, and a commuting allowance.
