BOIP is seeking a Senior HR Advisor (m/f/x) in The Hague for a 36-hour workweek.
Do you have the ambition to develop and support our international core business as an experienced HR professional? As a Senior HR Advisor, will you work with managers to align BOIP’s workforce with its goals and plans? You will focus on sustainable employability, cultural change, talent development, and recruitment. In addition, you will ensure HR processes run smoothly, develop tools, advise on the (unique) terms of employment and personnel regulations, and work on many other exciting projects.
What is BOIP?
BOIP is an official agency in the Benelux that registers trademarks and designs; the acronym stands for Benelux Office for Intellectual Property. BOIP’s primary mission is to ensure that businesses in the Benelux protect their intellectual property. BOIP is an international organization with a headquarters agreement in the Netherlands and has its own Staff Regulations and rules. The organization consists of 80 employees who perform their work with enthusiasm, openness, expertise, and initiative.
Who are you:
You thrive on playing a key role in all aspects of HR within a dynamic and well-structured organization. You’ll provide advice as part of a close-knit HR team (with three colleagues) in a professional organization. Furthermore, you are an experienced HR generalist with an innovative approach to HR projects; you are entrepreneurial, have strong interpersonal skills, are knowledgeable in labor law, and excel at planning and organizing. You also enjoy the analytical side of the job and are willing to pitch in with day-to-day operations.
In addition:
- Are you the HR manager’s right-hand person when it comes to translating the strategic plan for the organization and its employees;
- You provide advice on internal and external recruitment and selection, maintain contact with agencies, draft job profiles, and advise management on the suitability of candidates;
- Do you play a key role in recruitment, (international) onboarding, employee benefits, absenteeism, and mobility, as well as in the use of vendors;
- You proactively devise solutions to conflicts, provide advice on the legal validity of positions when disputes escalate, and handle legal matters and agreements;
- Prepare your management reports;
What you bring to the table:
- Extensive knowledge of human resource management at the associate’s or bachelor’s degree level;
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience;
- Your proficiency in Dutch is very good, both verbally (listening and speaking) and in writing (reading and writing);
- You also have a good command of English and can express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing;
- You have a basic command of French and are willing to take a course to improve your skills;
- You're a pro at Microsoft 365 and are experienced with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

You will be working in an international environment and will be offered a contract for 36 hours per week. Our office has good public transportation access and is within walking distance of The Hague Mariahoeve Station. Working partly from home is also possible.
