You’ll be driving housing development in collaboration with municipalities and helping to build a new team at the provincial government. It’s a job where you’ll have plenty of opportunities to blaze new trails!
Building 191,000 homes by 2030. We have set this goal in the Housing Deal together with the national government, municipalities, housing associations, and market parties. As a (senior) area developer representing the province of North Holland, you will be the driving force behind achieving this goal. Your challenge? Collaborating with municipalities and market parties and actively helping to achieve breakthroughs in housing projects. And serving as the primary point of contact for municipalities.
As a Senior Area Developer, you will actively help drive breakthroughs in housing projects or large-scale integrated area developments; that is your challenge. You will invest in building lasting relationships with municipalities and stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact on behalf of the province.
Sometimes you’ll work with colleagues to develop solutions for substantive issues, such as grid congestion, nitrogen pollution, or accessibility. Other times, you’ll help a municipality with procedural challenges, such as developing a growth strategy, an efficient planning process, or a sound business case. For each project, you’ll assess what expertise needs to be brought in and which (financial) tools the province has at its disposal that can be used to help achieve the goals.
To tackle this major housing development project, we’re putting together a brand-new, multidisciplinary team. Since it’s a new team, nothing is set in stone yet. So this is a job where you’ll have plenty of opportunities to blaze new trails!
