As a senior tax specialist in the General Economic Policy (AEP) Directorate, you will work at the heart of economic decision-making in the Netherlands and apply your experience and expertise to develop sound tax policy.
As a tax specialist, you play a key role in developing policy and drafting regulations. You assess the effects of various tax proposals on the business community and the economy as a whole, ranging from the business and investment climate, the labor market, the living environment, and climate to the innovation climate and entrepreneurship. You advise senior civil servants and political leaders on these matters and answer questions from the House of Representatives. You also represent the ministry in interdepartmental processes regarding tax policy.
You will work closely with your immediate colleagues at AEP, particularly the tax coordinator at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), as well as with the senior management teams at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Ministry of Finance. Naturally, you will also hold regular consultations with other ministries, companies, interest groups, and other external parties, both nationally and internationally.

Salary level: Scale 12, Scale 13
Monthly salary:min. €4,278 – max. €7,094 (gross)
Employment: Fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of a permanent position

Maximum number of hours per week: 36
In addition to your salary, you will receive an Individual Choice Budget (ICB). The ICB consists of money (16.37% of your gross annual salary) and time.
