Senior Privacy Consultant

What you will be doing

As a senior privacy consultant at Berenschot, you are an expert in advising organizations on how to protect their data and processes. You help clients strategically embed privacy into their operations and comply with relevant laws and regulations. Your responsibilities include:

• Advise and implement: You will develop concrete solutions in the area of privacy and guide clients through the implementation process.
• , and strategy: You conduct risk analyses (such as Data Protection Impact Assessments) and advise on effective measures to safeguard privacy.
• raising awareness: you help organizations increase knowledge and awareness regarding privacy.
• Project management: You will lead consulting projects, facilitate work sessions, and prepare reports for various clients.
• capitalizing on commercial opportunities : you identify opportunities to support new clients and contribute to the continued growth of our consulting group.

In short, you’ll constantly switch between strategy, execution, and relationship management to make a difference for our clients.

You’ll work alongside colleagues from the Business & Data Solutions advisory group, a team of specialists with diverse backgrounds in privacy, cybersecurity, data analysis, and digital transformation. Together, we ensure our clients are better prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. While you’ll primarily be a privacy specialist, a combination of roles in the field of information security is certainly also a possibility. The open and collaborative culture within our team ensures that you can learn from others, but also share your own expertise. In addition, you’ll regularly work with colleagues from other advisory groups to truly help clients move forward.

Here's what to bring

At Berenschot, we’re looking for people with personality. People who aren’t just strong in their field, but who also connect with others and inspire them. You bring:

• a completed master’s degree from a university, preferably supplemented with certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent.
• 2 to 8 years of experience in the field of privacy (whether or not combined with experience in information security).
• strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way.
• A proactive attitude: you spot opportunities and know how to turn them into results.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch.

Here's what the application process looks like

After you submit your application, you will receive a response within one business week. If your application is successful, we will invite you to an introductory meeting via phone, Teams, or in person with Mariëlle Boer. This will be followed by an interview with fellow consultants and your future manager.
