The World Wildlife Fund (WWF-NL) originally focused on protecting animals like the panda. Today, our challenge is much greater. Nature loss and climate change are affecting all life on Earth. That is why our mission is to make the world “Nature Positive” again, with more nature. Would you like to work on our mission alongside passionate colleagues? And help build the growing movement of people who contribute to this in all kinds of ways? That is what you do when you work at WWF-NL.
WWF-NL is a professional and dynamic organization with a casual work environment based in Zeist. The organization consists of the following departments: Conservation, Engagement, Organization & Talent Development, and Finance & Operations.
To strengthen the Brand & Communications team within the Engagement department, we are seeking a Senior Communications Manager for Stakeholder Communications (32–40 hours per week).
Our vision is to restore a healthy balance and harmony between people and nature, allowing them to coexist. We aim to achieve this by restoring and protecting nature on the one hand, and by encouraging people, businesses, and governments to make more sustainable choices on the other.
Did you know that the global food system is the leading cause of biodiversity loss and that we offer solutions to reverse this trend? And that WWF is also working to inspire and persuade financial institutions and investors to make the financial system more sustainable? As Senior Communications Manager for Stakeholder Communications, you’ll tackle these strategic challenges at the intersection of nature conservation and behavioral change. You’ll help our subject matter experts raise awareness of these issues as part of our nature conservation strategy, both internally and externally. You’ll develop compelling communication strategies for national and international stakeholders. In short: a challenging and multifaceted role with real impact!
In this role, you will take on a leadership role—alongside the other communications managers—in addressing communications issues within WWF-NL. You will provide strategic advice, maintain an overview of the big picture, and ensure that this advice aligns with WWF-NL’s positioning and goals. Your work includes creating and implementing communication plans, identifying effective communication angles that resonate with relevant target audiences, and producing strategic texts such as position statements and opinion pieces for the media. You will collaborate with our internal content team to create content.
You identify with the core values of WWF-NL:
