Job Description
As a communications advisor, you will be responsible for the WKR’s communications at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels. The Communications Department is part of the WKR Secretariat. You will liaise with the Communications Directorate of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK) as needed. You will participate in internal meetings and advise the Secretary-Director and the (Council) Advisors on current and future communications. You may occasionally serve as a spokesperson.
You will begin by developing the communication strategy, the foundation of which is currently being laid. This communication strategy must contribute to the effective positioning of the WKR. You will also organize communications related to the WKR’s recommendations. This includes writing content for the website and social media, communicating with government officials, and organizing events. You will be responsible for the content on the website and ensuring consistency in all WKR communications. From the outset, you will be involved in preparing the various recommendations to ensure they have an impact after publication.
You will also maintain contact with relevant stakeholders and identify opportunities for collaboration, potential risks, and relevant developments for the WKR.
The advisory work will be approached from a wide range of academic perspectives. This requires you to be able to translate academic texts into accessible communications. In doing so, you will play a mentoring role for your fellow communications advisors and other secretariat staff.
