Do you enjoy variety in your work? Are you a natural networker? If so, please read on. We have an opening for an accident claims adjuster at the Expertisebureau Risicobeheer Veiligheidsregio’s, a partnership of all safety regions.
You open your laptop, whether at home or at one of our safety regions in the Netherlands. You start with a morning meeting with your colleagues who work elsewhere in the country. Together, you go over the day’s schedule and discuss case studies. There’s room for a bit of fun and banter, since you mainly see your colleagues at the expert agency digitally. Next, you have a meeting with colleagues from the safety regions, whom you support in handling work-related accidents. For this, you usually contact the HR staff member, but sometimes also, for example, a fire department team leader. Sometimes you physically visit the safety regions in your portfolio for this purpose. You also regularly consult with the Review Committee of the Guarantee Fund and the Work-Related Accidents Committee. Through the fund, the safety regions collectively bear the majority of the costs resulting from work-related accidents. The Occupational Accident Committee supports the Risk Management Expertise Bureau in assessing complex cases. You will also occasionally be in contact with our medical service or the accident insurer.
You’re an administrative whiz, focused on collaboration, and you have strong communication skills. In the role of accident claims handler, you wear two hats. You handle administrative tasks and ensure that the claims settlement process runs smoothly, and you serve as a coach and sounding board for the safety regions. Because the Risk Management Expertise Bureau serves all 25 safety regions, there will be days when you’ll need to travel for work.
It would be a plus if you also have some knowledge of insurance!
At the Risk Management Expertise Bureau, you’ll work as part of a close-knit team and have opportunities to grow in your role.
We offer a blend of experience and expertise in the field of claims handling. We are a close-knit team consisting of a dedicated director, her administrative assistant, a secretary, a project manager, four claims adjusters, and a claims handling coordinator. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out in this field, you’ve come to the right place. The process we’re currently navigating is still fairly new for everyone, and we’re learning a lot together. Mutual support and open communication are therefore of the utmost importance; together, we navigate new challenges and learn from one another. Whether it’s sharing best practices, brainstorming solutions, or simply lending a listening ear, our team is always there for one another. Join us and be part of an environment where collaboration and growth go hand in hand.
