More person, less patient. That is what the Dutch Patient Federation stands for. Together with our members, we advocate for people who need healthcare, both now and in the future. So that people can choose and receive the care that best suits them. We develop policies and influence those of other organizations and decision-makers. We ask how people experience healthcare. And based on that, we make their voices heard in doctors’ offices, in politics, and in the news. You contribute directly to that.
The Dutch Patient Federation represents more than 200 patient organizations. Approximately 75 people work at our office in Utrecht.
The Patient Federation is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic
ZorgkaartNederland is the largest review website in the Dutch healthcare sector. On ZorgkaartNederland, people share their healthcare experiences with others. This helps people choose a healthcare provider that’s the right fit for them. ZorgkaartNederland is an initiative of the Dutch Patient Federation. The team consists of 16 professionals, including editors, advisors, and a marketer. This team works daily to further improve ZorgkaartNederland, maintain contact with healthcare providers and reviewers, manage the database, and more.
We are looking for an enthusiastic account manager to inform healthcare institutions about the capabilities of ZorgkaartNederland and other products offered by the Dutch Patient Federation. You will advise them on how to make the most of ZorgkaartNederland, from collecting reviews to improving the quality of our products. You will bring the experiences of healthcare institutions back to the team, thereby contributing to the further development of the platform. You will build and maintain relationships and secure new contracts. Together with the team, you will initiate targeted marketing and sales activities. In doing so, you will perform both hands-on and coordinating tasks. You will also provide guidance on Mijnkwaliteitvanleven.nl: a tool used by clients and healthcare providers to identify what is important to an individual and to help them take control of their care. This enables healthcare providers to better tailor care and support to the client’s wishes and capabilities.
You are socially engaged and eager to apply your commercial skills to advance the goals of the Dutch Patient Federation. You have a relevant network in the healthcare sector or are able to build one quickly. You quickly grasp new concepts and products and translate them into sales opportunities for ZorgkaartNederland and mijnkwaliteitvanleven.nl. You are self-motivated, take ownership of your work, and have a strong external focus. You enjoy presenting and can effectively convey the message of ZorgkaartNederland and mijnkwaliteitvanleven.nl to a diverse audience.
You have a few years of relevant work experience, for example as a client relations or sales manager in fundraising, at a health insurance company, or in a hospital. It would be helpful if you have experience working at a policy organization in a politically sensitive environment.
We offer a diverse role within a dynamic organization staffed by dedicated professionals. An organization where you can further develop your skills in substantive, strategic, and policy areas, and where you can build a strong network within the healthcare sector.
Depending on your education and experience, the salary is up to €4,927.00 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek (Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, Scale 10).
For now, you will be offered a one-year employment contract. The Dutch Patient Federation adheres to the Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement and offers excellent employment conditions, including an Individual Choice Budget and a career budget. Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, you will be enrolled in the Healthcare and Welfare Pension Fund.
