The UAF is committed to supporting the development of refugee students and professionals and their participation in the Dutch labor market. “We are here for people who—often under very difficult circumstances—have left everything behind and want to build a new life in the Netherlands. People who bring their experience, talent, and ambition with them. We believe that education is the key to sustainable participation in our society. Together with educational institutions, municipalities, the business community, and our donors, we pave the way for their professional development.” Each year, the UAF advises, guides, and supports an average of 3,200 refugees during their education or career.
