At the Prinses Christina Concours, we believe in the power of music. For 55 years, we have been encouraging children and young people in their musical development. With competitions in classical music, jazz, and composition, a traveling concert hall (the Classic Express), an online competition (De Muziekwedstrijd), and the PCC Academy, the Prinses Christina Concours is a leading platform for music education and talent development.

With a team of 11 staff members, we are constantly looking for new ways to introduce children and young people to music and help them experience its value. We support participants in our competitions and other events in their musical and personal development, thereby passing on the importance of music to new generations of musicians and music lovers. This requires a high level of engagement from our organization with the target group (children and young people) and other stakeholders, such as performing artists, music teachers, cultural institutions, and funders. Client and Office Manager (36 hours per week)

For this position, the PCC is looking for the best of both worlds. As a Client and Office Manager, you will be responsible for providing organizational, secretarial, and administrative support within the Development team. This includes, in particular, private client management (Friends of the Princess Christina Concours Foundation). In this role, you will assist the director with new leads and proposals.

In the office management role, you will support your colleagues with a wide range of tasks, including the use of our IT systems.

 

What will you be doing?

Customer Relationship Management

1. Relationship Management and Process Monitoring

  • In consultation with the fundraising and donor relations officer, handles correspondence with individual donors.
  • Works with the fundraising and client relations officer to monitor all deadlines and financial targets related to the development process and reports to the director.

 

2. Development

  • Helping to implement the development policy with a focus on individual donors (Friends) and conducting preliminary research on the funding plan.
  • Participate in the development team alongside the fundraising and relationship management officer, the business manager, and the director. Responsible for performing secretarial and support duties within the development process.
  • Provides advice on improvements to the development process.
  • (Digital) archiving.

 Is available (by arrangement) to serve as a representative of the organization during its activities, particularly in relation to sponsor relationships and the support network of the Princess Christina Competition.

 

Office Management

1. System Administration

  • Responsible for managing the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Helping to maintain contact with software vendors.
  • Providing support to colleagues on software use and drafting user instructions.

 

2. Secretariat and Facilities Management

  • Responsible for coordinating and carrying out secretarial and administrative tasks for the Princess Christina Competition.
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance and safety of the building and its facilities.
  • Coordinating maintenance and cleaning activities, first aid services, and the emergency response plan.
  • Assists, if desired, with the staging of competitions and other productions.

Our offerings  

You will become part of a highly motivated and diverse team—a network of young musicians, music professionals, venues, and various organizations with a passion for music.

We are initially offering you a one-year contract with a salary in accordance with the Dutch Performing Arts Collective Labor Agreement (scale 6, depending on your profile and experience). The position is based in The Hague, but working from home and on-site at competition venues is certainly not uncommon, subject to mutual agreement.
