More than half of Dutch adults—9 million people—have one or more chronic conditions, most of which are lifestyle-related. Lifestyle changes have the potential to improve the health and quality of life of this large group of Dutch people. The Coalition aims to achieve health gains by integrating lifestyle factors into healthcare. TNO, ZonMw, NFU, Arts & Leefstijl, and the Patiëntenfederatie lead the coalition on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and, together with a large number of organizations, work to realize its objectives.

Director Team Guidelines
(32 hours per week)

The Coalition aims to achieve health gains by integrating lifestyle factors into healthcare. TNO, ZonMw, NFU, Arts & Leefstijl, and the Patiëntenfederatie lead the coalition on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and, together with a large number of organizations, work to realize its objectives.
As Director, you will shape and define the content of the team’s guidelines, initially based on the Coalition’s 2023 work plan and, in particular, the 2024 and 2025 work plans you have initiated. You will do this in collaboration with knowledgeable and motivated colleagues, both within and outside the Patient Federation and the Coalition. You will also lead or participate in external working groups and project teams. As a senior professional, you have a vision for developments in healthcare and proactively contribute to the strategic policy development of the Patient Federation.

Depending on your education and experience, the salary is up to €5,463.00 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek (Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, Scale 11). This is a fixed-term position, starting with a one-year employment contract. If you perform successfully in the role, the fixed-term appointment will be extended (the duration of the “Lifestyle in Healthcare Coalition” program is from 2023 through 2025).
The Dutch Patient Federation offers attractive employment conditions, including an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) and a career budget. The IKB provides you with a budget that you can use as you see fit—either to receive a cash payment or, for example, to purchase additional leave hours.
The Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement is followed. Under the terms of the agreement, you are enrolled in the Healthcare and Social Services Pension Fund.
