Is science your thing, and do you enjoy sharing your knowledge about the big questions—the how and why—with a wide audience? And do you enjoy helping people better understand the world by turning it into exciting TV? Then we’re looking for you!
NTR is the broadcaster behind acclaimed shows such as *Het Klokhuis*, *Andere Tijden*, *Dream School*, and *Kunststof*. In the fields of culture, information, education, and science, we offer content for all audiences, with programs and platforms that inspire and lead to new insights and personal growth.
For NTR Science and our cross-media platform Focus, we are seeking anEditor (f/m/x) (24 hours per week) to start on January 1, 2025.
Focus informs viewers and listeners about scientific developments and the facts behind the news—from small, current issues to universal problems of our time. What does ultra-processed food do to the body? Is there a solution to PFAS contamination? How can we reduce the strain on the power grid? And where does science stand in the search for a solution to Long COVID? In Focus’s podcasts, radio shows, TV broadcasts, and YouTube videos, we investigate these questions for you.
A one-year contract starting January 1, 2025, with the possibility of renewal. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position will be compensated within salary grade F or G of the broadcasting collective bargaining agreement.
You’ll also be joining a motivated and creative team of ambitious and enthusiastic science journalism professionals. Even if you don’t meet all of these requirements but recognize yourself in the profile above, we still encourage you to apply.
Do you want to advance your career, try something different, or learn something new? NTR offers plenty of opportunities for this internally, but thanks to our training budgets and your personal career budget, we believe that professional growth extends beyond the workplace as well.
As an NTR employee, you will receive, among other benefits, a 6% December bonus, 8% vacation pay, a travel allowance, more than 5 weeks of vacation per year, annual salary increases, a group pension plan, and a monthly contribution toward your health insurance.
At NTR, we place a high value on work-life balance. That’s why, whenever possible, we offer a hybrid work arrangement. We support this approach with the right tools and technology, so you can always stay productive and connected.
Climate-conscious working is a top priority at NTR. Together with colleagues from other public broadcasters, we participate in the ALBERT sustainability program, which helps us create the conditions needed to strive for a minimal carbon footprint in everything we produce.

An environment where everyone feels at home and connected contributes to job satisfaction and provides ample room for inspiration and creativity. We believe in the unique value of every individual, which is why our job openings are open to everyone.
