NPO Cultuur—the ultimate guide to the cultural landscape—brings you the best art and culture tips through various channels (website, newsletter, Instagram, TikTok, podcast), as well as information, hilarious insights, and a refreshing dose of motivation to get out the door and head to a theater, concert hall, or museum. NPO Cultuur not only guides you through the world of performing and visual arts, but also shines a spotlight on the arts and culture programming of the Dutch Public Broadcasters (NPO). NPO Cultuur highlights the offerings for various target audiences, ensuring that these wonderful programs don’t get lost in the archives. These programs truly deserve to be seen, experienced, and shared more widely!

We are looking for an Editor to join NPO Cultuur starting January 1.

Here's what you'll be doing:

You will produce the weekly NPO Culture Newsletter, including writing the articles, handling the layout, and managing the distribution;
To do this, you’ll put together a varied selection of that week’s NPO cultural programming;
You adapt the newsletter into content for social media channels for promotional purposes;
Compiling the npo.nl/culture page and writing the accompanying articles;
Collecting cultural content, including through consultation with colleagues, broadcasters, channels, and content creators;
Identifying and mentoring the monthly guest editor for the newsletter.

This is you:

A creative writer with a fluid writing style and a distinctive voice;
Someone who places a high priority on diversity and inclusion. Culture is a broad concept, tastes vary, and NPO Cultuur is for everyone;
You have experience writing "editorial" newsletters
You have experience working with CMS systems;
You are a team player with a deep love for culture in the broadest sense of the word;
You're willing to post content on social media from time to time on the weekends;
Design skills are a plus for creating banners, social media content, and editing images;
Having a network in the cultural sector is also an advantage.

Here's what we offer:

A one-year contract through December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position is compensated within salary grade F of the broadcasting collective bargaining agreement.
