The Brandpunt+ video team produces journalistic documentaries for young adults aged 18 to 30 on YouTube. Our productions are characterized by in-depth research, a focus on storytelling, and innovative narrative styles. We delve into the human stories behind an event or spend time immersing ourselves in a place where extraordinary stories unfold.

About the role

For NPO 3’s online channels, our team creates high-impact journalistic content. For example, we followed women seeking relationships with traditional gender roles, young farmers who want to continue farming despite turbulent times, we stepped into the unknown world of men in the adult entertainment industry with the series Candy Boys, and in Stereotypical Youth, Firoza Mulahella sought out young people who have been labeled with a specific stereotype.

About you

We are looking for a journalist and storyteller with editorial experience at news outlets to join the Brandpunt+ video team.

• You have at least 2 years of editorial experience and are skilled at developing journalistic series;
• You are able to take projects to the next level by, among other things, highlighting the right angles and finding the perfect case studies;
• You have experience producing news reports or documentaries;
• You are flexible: you are also available outside of office hours to discuss matters related to making quick editorial decisions;
• You can think outside the box and prepare and develop projects in a fresh and enthusiastic way;
• You can contribute ideas for the comic;
• You have experience creating YouTube content.

What we offer

We are offering a 36-hour-per-week employment contract, initially for a one-year term starting August 1, 2024.

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Broadcasting Personnel, this position is classified in pay scale G. The salary depends on education and experience and ranges from €3,118.48 to €4,757.41 per month for a full-time position of 36 hours per week.
