Recruiter & Onboarding Officer
(36–40 hours per week)

As a Recruiter & Onboarding Officer, you’ll be part of a close-knit team consisting of the Head of HR, two HR Business Partners, a Learning & Development Advisor, and an Organizational Development Manager. You’ll report directly to the Head of HR, Marie-Louise Verbeek.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Recruiter & Onboarding Officer, you will be responsible for all recruitment and onboarding activities at WWF-NL. You will serve as the face of WWF-NL and ensure that these activities align with our goals regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Recruitment
- You will coordinate the recruitment process for all job openings at WWF-NL (from entry-level positions to senior management roles), including events and marketing, preparation, administrative tasks, screening, selection, and interviews with candidates.
- You are the primary point of contact for candidates and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- You will serve as a sounding board for middle management and HR Business Partners on matters related to recruitment (including laws, regulations, and best practices).
- Together with the hiring manager, you will draft the job postings and refine the candidate profiles.
- You are responsible for the data and reports related to recruitment and onboarding.
- You will handle the recruitment and onboarding processes through AFAS.
- You select the most appropriate recruitment channels to post job openings.
- You will ensure that the organization adheres to the guidelines set forth in the hiring policy and that the policy remains up to date in accordance with laws and regulations and the organization’s needs.
- You will manage all relevant stakeholders in this process: the candidates, the hiring managers, and the HR business partner.
- You will define and implement a recruitment strategy that covers all relevant aspects, such as which channels and which external partners will support WWF-NL in developing an optimal recruitment and selection strategy to attract the best talent.
Onboarding
- You’ll ensure that the new employee has a solid onboarding program.
- You will ensure that new employees are invited to all internal orientation sessions and gain a good understanding of the organization.
- One of your first tasks will be to work with the Learning & Development Advisor to explore how the onboarding program at WWF-NL can be further optimized.
- You will keep the recruitment and onboarding pages on our intranet up to date.
- You will work closely with the payroll administrators on the WWF-NL Finance team and stay in touch with your “People and Culture” colleagues in the global WWF network.
Who are you?
- You have at least one year of experience as a recruiter, HR officer, or HR consultant.
- You enjoy working as part of a team and taking on a wide range of responsibilities.
- You are familiar with the regulations regarding highly skilled migrants.
- You work in a structured manner and produce high-quality results, even under time pressure.
- You communicate effectively in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
- You are service-oriented.
- You find it energizing to switch between different tasks on a regular basis.
- You enjoy both providing strategic advice and carrying out operational and administrative tasks.
- Experience with AFAS (Insite and Profit) is a plus.
- An interest in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives is a plus.
- Marketing (branding) experience is a plus.

- A competitive salary based on the Dutch nonprofit sector; the minimum gross monthly salary for the position is 3,726 EUR, and the maximum monthly salary is 5,001 EUR, depending on relevant experience (based on a 40-hour workweek);
- A personal budget consisting of 8% vacation pay and 2.08% flexible budget;
- 6 weeks of leave per year (based on a 40-hour workweek);
- Commuting expense reimbursement based on 2nd-class public transportation (NS Business Card) and a reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometer cycled between home and the office;
- Hybrid work, which gives employees the flexibility to alternate between working in the office and working from home; employees can claim €2.40 for each day worked from home.
