The position
You will work independently, under the supervision of a psychiatrist, and conduct screenings to identify psychosocial and psychiatric issues among clients. In addition, you will occasionally conduct supplementary assessments, typically intelligence tests. You will work with various client groups, such as individuals with forensic issues, participants in the ROSA program, and clients receiving support through the (municipal) Work, Participation, and Income services.
That variety keeps the work interesting: every case is different. Your work involves meeting with clients, analyzing complex cases, assessing care needs, and producing clear reports. Your recommendations have a direct impact: clients recognize themselves in the profile you create and feel understood, while partners in the care chain are better able to support their clients and set more focused goals.
In addition, you will contribute to the team’s development, advise our partners, and support special projects. Occasionally, you will travel to conduct screenings on-site (at correctional facilities); for this, you can use a GGD company car. Beyond your role as a psychologist, you may also be assigned to other tasks, such as working at the screening desk for homeless residents of Amsterdam.
