Would you like to contribute to strong leadership and sustainable quality improvement in elementary education? The PO-Raad is looking for a project assistant who is highly organized and well-versed in issues related to governance, administrative processes, and quality development.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will play a key part in the administrative review project, which supports and challenges school organizations to work purposefully on their own administrative development. With your keen eye, knowledge, and insight, you will strengthen the project team and support the project leader in both the implementation and further development of this impactful program. In this way, you will make a direct contribution to good governance and better education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Organizing site visits and preparatory meetings (such as creating schedules, setting appointments, forming committees, and maintaining contact with participants and site visitors).
- Coordinate site visit schedules with various parties.
- Contributing to the project team by leveraging your expertise in governance, quality assurance, or administrative development in education. This is a plus.
- Maintaining project plans, tasks, and schedules, and ensuring that deadlines are met and processes run smoothly.
- Answering practical and substantive questions about administrative inspections.

What do we offer?
- The opportunity to make a crucial contribution to the professionalization of school organizations in elementary education.
- A 16-hour-per-week position for a period of one year, with the possibility of a permanent contract. (Secondment is a possibility.)
- A salary ranging from €3,546 to €5,538 for a 38-hour workweek, based on scale 10 of the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities.
- You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%, 8% vacation pay, and a pension plan through the ABP.
- 232 vacation hours for full-time employees and the option to accrue additional compensatory leave.
- You can work from home or at the office, and we provide an internet and telecommuting allowance. We’ll also provide an office chair and monitor for your home office;
- If your commute to our office near Utrecht Overvecht station is more than 10 kilometers, you will receive a travel allowance or an NS Business Card.
Where will you be working?
The PO-Raad (located right next to the Utrecht Overvecht train station) is the sector association for primary education. We represent the interests of school organizations in primary education, special primary education, and (secondary) special education. In addition, the PO-Raad drives innovative projects and knowledge sharing within the sector.
