Goldschmeding Foundation for People, Work, and the Economy
32–40 hours per week, based in Amsterdam near Amsterdam-Zuid station, start date: January 2023
Would you like to help make a difference in society?
Come join our Human-Centered Economy program team!
The Goldschmeding Foundation is a philanthropic fund dedicated to bringing about lasting change in the way people work and collaborate. We do this based on the belief that we all benefit when we look out for one another. Together with our partners, we work toward lasting change for an inclusive labor market, sustainable work, and an economy that respects human dignity.
The Human-Centered Economy program supports projects that accelerate the transition to a new way of thinking and acting economically, one that also embeds the importance of “the other.” In addition to prosperity, growth, and money, this involves values such as community, flourishing, and well-being. Economic activity is focused on relationships, all stakeholders, and the creation of multiple forms of value.
We are working on two strategic themes: “Agape in Business,” aimed at promoting socially responsible entrepreneurship, and “Innovation in Economics Education,” aimed at revitalizing higher education in economics (particularly at the secondary and higher vocational levels).
You will become part of a close-knit team of 14 dedicated professionals. You will work closely with your fellow Human-Centered Economy project manager and program manager Suzanne Ekel.
You will be responsible for a number of projects and for maintaining relationships with the implementing project partners. In particular, you will focus on the theme of “Innovation in Economics Education.” This will involve tasks such as:
In addition, you will actively contribute to the program development of Menswaardige Economie by helping to shape our strategy, developing new project proposals, helping to expand our network, and organizing our annual program event.
The foundation is an inclusive organization; it doesn’t matter to us where you were born, what you believe in, or who you love. We’re curious about your talents, what makes you special, and how we can work together to contribute to your success and development, as well as that of the foundation.
