The Goldschmeding Foundation is a philanthropic fund dedicated to bringing about lasting change in the way people work and collaborate. About the Human-Centered Economy Program
The Human-Centered Economy program supports projects that accelerate the transition to a new way of thinking and acting economically, one that also embeds the importance of “the other.” In addition to prosperity, growth, and money, this involves values such as community, flourishing, and well-being. Economic activity is focused on relationships, all stakeholders, and the creation of multiple forms of value.
We are working on two strategic themes: “Agape in Business,” aimed at promoting socially responsible entrepreneurship, and “Innovation in Economics Education,” aimed at revitalizing higher education in economics (particularly at the secondary and higher vocational levels).
Role, responsibilities, and duties
You will become part of a close-knit team of 14 dedicated professionals. You will work closely with your fellow Human-Centered Economy project manager and program manager Suzanne Ekel.
You will be responsible for a number of projects and for maintaining relationships with the implementing project partners. In particular, you will focus on the theme of “Innovation in Economics Education.” This will involve tasks such as:
- conduct progress meetings with partners and support them by sharing knowledge and leveraging our network;
- administration, finance, impact assessment, and project monitoring;
- identifying opportunities and facilitating introductions for project-level collaboration with strategic partners;
- coordinating communications from and about the projects in collaboration with our communications team;
- reviewing project reports, preparing final evaluations, and internal reports.
In addition, you will actively contribute to the program development of Menswaardige Economie by helping to shape our strategy, developing new project proposals, helping to expand our network, and organizing our annual program event.
Skills and Experience

We are looking for a colleague:
- with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in (higher) economic education;
- with experience in a consulting, policy, or project management role;
- who has a university degree in critical economic thinking;
- with analytical skills and a results-oriented approach;
- with an entrepreneurial spirit, who sees opportunities;
- who has good communication skills;
- who has a demonstrable affinity with the Human-Centered Economy program;
- with experience in impact management (this is a plus).

The selection process consists of at least two interviews, including an introductory meeting and an interview with both the program team and the director. You may also meet other colleagues from the foundation. We aim to complete this process by January 1, 2023. The preferred start date is early January 2023.
Thefirst round of interviews will take place on Tuesday afternoon, December 6, and Wednesday morning, December 7.
Thesecond round of talks will take place on Wednesday afternoon, December 14.
