More person, less patient. That is what the Dutch Patient Federation stands for. Together with our members, we advocate for people who need healthcare, both now and in the future. So that people can choose and receive the care that best suits them. We develop policies and influence those of other organizations and decision-makers. We ask how people experience healthcare. And based on that, we make their voices heard in doctors’ offices, in politics, and in the news. You contribute directly to that.

ZorgkaartNederland is the largest review website in the Dutch healthcare sector. On this site, people share their healthcare experiences with others. This helps people choose a healthcare provider that’s the right fit for them. ZorgkaartNederland is an initiative of the Dutch Patient Federation. The ZorgkaartNederland team consists of 16 colleagues. Every day, this team works on further improving ZorgkaartNederland, maintaining contact with healthcare providers and reviewers, updating the database, and more. New opportunities to further develop ZorgkaartNederland arise regularly. For example, we are working to make waiting times for specialist medical care more accessible. These are currently not easily available. To improve patients’ understanding of waiting times, we are launching a project. We are seeking a project manager for this and other projects.
We are looking for an enthusiastic project manager for ZorgkaartNederland. This platform is constantly evolving, and there are regularly large-scale projects that require strong project management. The first concrete project is: Making useful waiting times in specialist medical care accessible. Due to pressure on hospitals and clinics caused by COVID-19, waiting times have increased across the board. The objective of this project is to present the waiting times collected by the NZA—via a direct link with ZorgkaartNederland—in a useful way. More specifically, this means:
Waiting time information is presented on Zorgkaart Nederland in such a way that users (patients, healthcare providers, and health insurers) can easily identify which waiting times apply to them and locate this information with ease.
In addition to the information on ZorgkaartNederland, waiting time information is also easily accessible on other key platforms for patients (such as Thuisarts, praktijkinfo, PGO’s, etc.).
As a project manager, you’ll play a key role in developing new projects. This includes drafting project or grant proposals in close consultation with colleagues from our policy teams. You’ll be responsible for both large-scale and smaller projects and assignments.
You are socially engaged and eager to apply your project management skills to advance the goals of the Dutch Patient Federation. You have project-based or programmatic work experience in the healthcare sector and have an affinity for data. Experience with similar projects is preferred. You are hands-on, proactive, and independent; you can motivate people and build support. You know how to navigate conflicting interests and see overcoming resistance as a challenge. You switch easily between different levels and seek to build connections. You convey the message of ZorgkaartNederland convincingly to a diverse audience. In addition, you are pragmatic and will assist with implementation when necessary. You have a few years of relevant work experience as a project manager.
We offer a diverse role within an engaging organization staffed by dedicated individuals. An organization where you can further develop your skills in substantive, strategic, and political areas, and where you can build a valuable network within the healthcare sector. The salary, depending on education and experience, ranges from a maximum of €4,927.00 to €5,463.00 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek (Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, scale 10 or scale 11). You will initially receive a one-year employment contract with the prospect of a permanent position. The Dutch Patient Federation adheres to the Social Work Collective Labor Agreement and offers excellent employment conditions, including an Individual Choice Budget and a career budget. Under the terms of the Collective Labor Agreement, you will be enrolled in the Healthcare and Welfare Pension Fund.
