Do you have a passion for art and culture? Do you want to help create a fair labor market for the cultural and creative sectors? Are you an experienced project manager? Do you know what it takes to initiate, develop, and implement projects within an association? Then we’re looking for you!
We are the Creative Coalition. We are an association of 44 advocacy groups from the cultural and creative sector, representing a total of more than 45,000 members. Together, we advocate for the interests of everyone working in the cultural and creative sector. We are committed to ensuring a healthy, safe, and fair labor market in our sector. Fair Practice—including Fair Pay, Fair Share, and Fair Chain—are the Creative Coalition’s priorities for the coming period.
Following its founding phase, the association is now in a transition toward stabilization. In recent years, the Creative Coalition, together with its members, has established an increasingly strong position in The Hague’s political arena and has represented the voice of working people. It is partly up to the project leader to highlight these developments and raise the Coalition’s profile.
This role places a strong emphasis on strengthening the Creative Coalition in discussions regarding the labor market position of workers in the sector. Various projects are currently underway within the coalition and among stakeholders. Tackling various tasks on a project basis—whether or not in collaboration with stakeholders—is at the core of this role.

You’ll be working in a dynamic environment with members who are dedicated to their own professional practices in the cultural and creative sector. You, too, are passionate about the cultural and creative sector and the labor market challenges it faces.
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who enjoys initiating, describing, and leading projects in a political environment—whether or not in collaboration with members. You will seek out funding sources for the projects and be able to monitor the budget and report on budget and progress to the director, funder, and board. You know how to align the projects with the objectives of the Creative Coalition and ensure that projects stay on track. You have a clear overview of all activities, are an excellent planner, and possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You are a team player and easily establish rapport with members and stakeholders.
You will report to the director and work closely with your colleagues and, depending on the activity, with members of the board. The board consists of a minimum of five and a maximum of ten members.
The administrative team supports the association and the board. The administrative team consists of a director (0.8 FTE), an office secretary (0.6 FTE), a project manager (0.8 FTE), a marketing and communications officer (0.6 FTE), and staff hired on a freelance or project basis.
You enjoy keeping track of the big picture and managing processes, and you thrive on collaboration. You are an excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing). You have an eye for diversity, the level of the people you communicate with, and political dynamics. You have at least a college-level work and thinking ability. We expect accuracy and attention to detail in performing your tasks. You recognize and acknowledge the diverse positions within the association and the influence they hold, and you know how to leverage that influence positively for the cause the Creative Coalition stands for. You oversee situations and processes and identify challenges that arise. You can systematically address these to arrive at effective solutions. You do this by establishing a project structure and collaborating with members and stakeholders.
We don't have an office yet. Depending on where our employees live, we'll look for workspace at members' locations or rent space elsewhere. You'll also work from home.
We strive to achieve a good balance of diverse backgrounds within our board and our organization, including age, sex, gender, experience, and cultural background. We therefore warmly invite all interested candidates to apply.
