Communications Project Manager (Temporary)

The Van Gogh Europe Foundation (VGE) is a partnership among European institutions and collections associated with the life and work of Vincent van Gogh. It aims to make Van Gogh’s cultural heritage accessible to a wide audience in order to inspire, unite, and engage current and future generations.

VGE is currently drafting its new strategy (2024–2029), and over the coming months, VGE is seeking a project manager to support the board in its work and the implementation of the strategic plan. Based at the Van Gogh Museum, the project manager will be responsible for bringing together the 25 partners and for gathering and disseminating information to all partners. You will work to promote and publicize all activities related to Vincent van Gogh organized by all partners as effectively as possible.

Communications Project Manager, Van Gogh Europe

18 hours per week

Period: immediately – end of December 2024

What will you be doing?

As VGE Project Manager, you will support the board and partners in the following areas: communication, promotion, administration/coordination, and development. You will work with colleagues from various departments to design programs and oversee their implementation. Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• You will handle internal and external communication with the board and among the partners.
  
• You will maintain contact with our partners in collaboration with the board.
  
• You will be kept actively informed of the partners' activities.
  
• You are responsible for managing the HSE brand and insights.
  
• You proactively stay in touch with your network and promote activities.
  
• You keep track of promotional materials and are responsible for distributing them.
  
• Co-organizing two partner meetings, one of which will be held in person in London this fall.
  
• Helped organize four board meetings.
  
• You will assist the board by drafting the agenda, scheduling meetings, and taking minutes.
  
• Provide support in developing a strategic plan.
  
• Contact person for (potential) financial partners.
  

Who are you?

We are looking for a creative, innovative, and collaborative colleague who brings the following to the table:

• You have proven experience as a project manager in a field such as marketing and communications.
  
• You have several years of experience working on projects.
  
• You are a connector. You are a networker and able to communicate effectively with both the organization and its partners.
  
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and English; French is a plus.

The Museum Collective Labor Agreement applies. The full-time salary (36 hours) ranges from €3,801 to a maximum of €5,075 gross per month (scale 11), depending on your education and experience.
