Project Manager for Management and Maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical Systems

What will you be doing?

At Arkin Vastgoed, we are looking for a hands-on, solution-oriented project manager with expertise in mechanical and electrical systems and sustainability. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the maintenance of building-related mechanical and electrical systems, as well as sustainable (replacement) projects such as heat pumps, ventilation solutions, and energy recovery systems.

You will work closely with colleagues in real estate, facilities management, and healthcare facilities, as well as with external contractors, consultants, and suppliers. You will ensure that the systems operate optimally and contribute to a healthy and sustainable indoor environment for clients and employees.

In addition, you will serve as a sounding board for technical issues, assist in developing investment plans, and maintain long-term relationships with installers and maintenance providers. You will take an integrated approach, in which energy management, laws and regulations, and comfort go hand in hand.

Your responsibilities:

• Coordinating and monitoring (long-term) maintenance and sustainability measures for mechanical systems (including central heating, cooling, ventilation, and heat pumps).
• Managing and evaluating installation companies, maintenance providers, and suppliers.
• Implementing energy-efficient and circular installation solutions in facility management and renovation projects.
• Preparing and managing maintenance and capital budgets.
• Inspecting installations and work performed, including oversight of safety and compliance with laws and regulations (including SCIOS and NEN standards).
• Serve as the point of contact for technical systems for internal stakeholders.
• Managing and optimizing maintenance contracts and service agreements in the field of W.

We offer you:

• Terms of employment in accordance with the GGZ Collective Bargaining Agreement, pay scale 55/60 (min. €3,883 and max. €5,730 gross based on a 36-hour workweek), depending on education and work experience;
• This is a 36-hour-per-week position, with the intention of converting it to a permanent position if the candidate performs well;
• An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and 8.33% vacation pay;
• You are building up a solid retirement pension with the Healthcare & Welfare Pension Fund.

What do you bring to the table?

We are looking for a colleague who combines technical expertise with a commitment to sustainability. You work in a systematic manner and are able to explain complex systems in a way that is easy for your colleagues in the healthcare sector to understand. In addition, we require:

• HBO-level education and thinking skills, preferably in installation engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field;
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in technical management, maintenance, or installation projects;
• Knowledge of and experience with building services systems (HVAC, air handling, water systems, heat pumps);
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Experience with contract management, procurement, and supplier selection;
• An interest in sustainability, energy management, and circular technologies;
• Experience with project-based work or acting as a project manager is a plus;
• A Class B driver's license and your own transportation are preferred (due to locations throughout the Greater Amsterdam area).

The Real Estate Department is responsible for acquiring, managing, maintaining, and divesting the properties of Arkin and all its specialized units. Our team also provides consulting services in the areas of security and facility management.
