Where will you be working?
You will be employed by the Utrecht School of the Arts, but will work for the Utrecht Creative Community. The UCC is part of the project “Sustainable Employability Grows with the Self-Employed,” which focuses on promoting sustainable employability (SE) and lifelong learning (LLL) among self-employed professionals in the creative and cultural sectors. This project develops, tests, and evaluates experimental interventions within companies and organizations to make knowledge from practice and science more widely applicable.
The project focuses on three main areas of intervention:
- Network of Networks– Building an infrastructure that promotes collaboration among educational institutions, sectors, and professionals.
- Developing a Culture of Learning– Fostering a strong culture of learning within the sector through recurring learning activities and interventions.
- Interaction Model– Developing relevant and accessible lifelong learning opportunities in collaboration with the community.
The project will run for 3.5 years, and the participating organizations are: Kunstenbond, Utrecht University, and UCC (Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, ROC Midden Nederland Creative College, Utrecht School of the Arts, and Nimeto).
In this context, theUCC project coordinatorplays a crucial role as the link between the four pillars (UCC, Kunstenbond, Utrecht University, and other partners). The coordinator is part of the community managers team and ensures strategic coordination with stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
AsUCC Project Coordinator, you are responsible for the tactical coordination of the program and act as the linchpin between the various partners.
Organizational coordination
- Serve as the tactical link between UCC, Kunstenbond, Utrecht University, and the broader creative sector.
- Ensuring the achievement of strategic goals, such as the development and retention of knowledge within UCC.
- Part of the community managers team, with a focus on strategic alignment and coordination.
Strategic insight and knowledge development
- Maintain a broad perspective on the UCC plan and its impact on the wider network.
- Promoting knowledge sharing and contributing to the strategic integration of LLO within the sector.
- Developing a sustainable business model for UCC, focused on long-term impact.
Communication and Collaboration- Use writing and presentation skills to clearly communicate strategic developments, results, and insights.
- Actively contribute to UCC’s positioning and representation within the broader network.

What do we offer?
- For this position, we offer a salary in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for higher professional education (CBA-HBO) as well as attractive benefits.
- The gross monthly salary for a full-time position ranges from a minimum of €3,377 to a maximum of €6,360 (pay grade 10/11, depending on experience);
- We offer a fixed-term employment contract for the duration of the project.
- Vacation pay (8%) and a year-end bonus of 8.3%;
