The Red Cross helps people in need. These include people who (temporarily) don’t have enough money to buy food, or who don’t have a home or a safe place to live. They may be people who need medical or dental care but can’t access it, or people who are searching for loved ones, such as family members. Our focus is on the most vulnerable people.

Project Coordinator Heldin
(24 hours per week)
The Heldin project is a seven-part training program for women in vulnerable situations in Amsterdam Amstelland. Through this training, these women gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency. We enhance their first aid knowledge and teach the women how to ask for help, set boundaries, and communicate effectively. Through this training, we build the participants’ self-confidence.
As a project coordinator, you are responsible for the Heldin project. You excel at relationship management and networking, as you organize Heldin in collaboration with partners. The training sessions are led by volunteers, and you play a key role in supporting them. You ensure that they perform their duties effectively and feel connected to the Red Cross.
In addition, you have strong organizational skills and are adept at managing the administrative aspects of the training programs. You will organize and schedule the courses, draw up annual plans, and monitor the budget. You will report to the Red Cross operations team leader in Amsterdam-Amstelland.
