Do you have a passion for administration and want to contribute to the success of various projects? At Berenschot, we’re looking for a project coordinator to support our consultants with accurate project administration and financial processes. As the linchpin of our dynamic project environment, you’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly. With your keen insight and attention to detail, you’ll identify bottlenecks and resolve them quickly.

What you will be doing

As a project coordinator, you are responsible for managing the financial and administrative aspects of projects. Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of project records and monitoring project progress in terms of hours, activities, and invoices
  • Prepare, review, and process invoices.
  • We support project leaders and keep them informed about the progress of their projects.
  • Verifying contractual agreements and administrative records.
  • Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of project files.
  • Verifying time tracking and preparing forecasts.
  • Preparing and reviewing various reports, such as final reports, work in progress reports, and accounts receivable reports.

Examples of projects you can be involved in:

  • Financial and administrative support for change initiatives in the public sector.
  • Monitoring contractual agreements and budget management within complex government projects.
  • Supporting project leaders in achieving their goals in the transformation of public administration.

These are your immediate colleagues

In this role, you will work closely with a direct colleague and eight secretaries, and support more than a hundred consultants within the Public Administration consulting group. You will also serve as a key point of contact for the project controller and the Finance team. Together with the project coordinators from other consulting groups within Berenschot, you will form a close-knit team dedicated to the continuous development of our project administration. You will report to the project controller in the Finance department.

Here's what to bring

For this role, we are looking for someone with strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a service-oriented attitude. You must have:

  • A completed vocational education program (MBO), preferably in an administrative field, possibly supplemented by relevant courses.
  • Experience with AFAS is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Accuracy and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical skills and a service-oriented attitude.
