Fonds 1818 is an endowment fund that supports community projects in nineteen municipalities in South Holland, including The Hague, Delft, Leiden, Zoetermeer, and Westland. We provide funding to nonprofit organizations and neighborhood groups that align with our grant policy. Our primary focus is on helping people who could really use a little extra support. Fonds 1818 doesn’t just provide funding; we also work closely with our applicants. We do this by offering training sessions and consultation hours, organizing meetings, and engaging in dialogue. Fonds 1818 is also the owner and operator of Het Nutshuis, the historic former headquarters of the Nutsspaarbank in the center of The Hague, where our office is located. Fonds 1818 consists of 21 dedicated employees.

As a project advisor, you are responsible for carefully and promptly processing grant applications, which involves analyzing project plans and budgets and evaluating them against our grant policy. You will meet with applicants and other stakeholders and stay informed about relevant developments in the Fonds 1818 region.
We are looking for a consultant who is analytically and socially strong, communicates clearly, and is able to navigate effectively at various levels. You bring fresh ideas to the table, can work independently, and take responsibility. You are confident and know how to handle diverse situations and interests with confidence and tact. We are particularly open to candidates who have hands-on experience in the social sector, both at the operational and policy levels.
