Programmer Club
The night is your playground. You’re a fan of club nights and festivals and have a strong network in the nightlife scene. You’ll be (co-)responsible for developing concepts for club nights at De Helling. You’ll connect organizations and promoters with De Helling and mentor young creators when needed. You’ll capitalize on opportunities and know how to balance business, artistic, and social objectives. You take ownership of promoting De Helling’s club nights. You work closely with the departments—programming, marketing, production, hospitality, and technical—to create an unforgettable night.
De Helling is a unique venue at the tip of Rotsoord in Utrecht, with a capacity of 420–500 people. Our visitors and artists each have their own (artistic) perspective on the world and don’t feel like just another face in the crowd. We want our staff to reflect our visitors and artists, whoever you are and whatever your preferences may be. De Helling stands for packed concerts, intimate performances, steamy club nights, and everything in between. With a mix of local acts, up-and-coming talent, and international stars, we offer a diverse and unique program. Our club programming is co-organized by unique, sometimes young, promoters with their own distinct profiles.

We are looking for someone who:
- has a strong and relevant network of organizations, promoters, agents, bookers, and artists;
- has an affinity with De Helling, its program, the city of Utrecht, and the sector;
- has an affinity for and experience in carefully balancing financial, artistic, and social objectives;
- considers participation, diversity, and inclusion. This ensures that De Helling continues to reflect our ever-changing society;
- is critical and is not afraid to make well-reasoned decisions;
- has experience booking DJs, preparing cost estimates, and handling the financial aspects of club nights;
- has good communication skills and is approachable;
- is available 24 hours a week;
- lives in Utrecht or the surrounding area.
