Through the “Goed Worden, Goed Blijven (Plus)” program, the PO-Raad supports schools and school districts where the quality of education is under pressure. To oversee these support initiatives, we are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable program manager, effective January 1, 2024.
When a school requests assistance, the first step is to assess the severity of the issue. If the school has received an “unsatisfactory” or “very weak” inspection rating, it is offered a free support program through the “Goed Worden, Goed Blijven” (GWGB) initiative. The program includes a more in-depth analysis of the problem and often involves assistance from the “Flying Brigade.” School boards that have been rated as unsatisfactory can also take advantage of a support program.
Getting Better, Staying Better Plus (GWGB+) is designed for schools whose results fall short of expectations but have not been rated as unsatisfactory or very weak. In this free program, we help schools gain a better understanding of the processes involved in quality and quality assurance, the connections between them, and how to make adjustments. School boards that are concerned about their quality policy and wish to improve it can also take advantage of our support services.
A pool of highly experienced educational consultants is utilized to carry out the support programs.
As a program manager, you are responsible for both the financial and substantive aspects of the subsidized program. Together with your colleagues, you work to provide optimal support to the schools and school boards that seek our assistance. In addition, you serve as the link between the program, the PO-Raad association, and the agency. For example, you’ll work with policy colleagues to explore how education policy can be improved based on insights from the program, or collaborate with researchers to identify relevant research questions within the scope of GWGB(+). At crucial moments, you will consult with the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science regarding the program’s progress. Additionally, you will work on a business case in which you analyze GWGB(+)’s funding stream and ensure its long-term sustainability. You are not responsible for the program’s personnel; that task falls to the Services Cluster Manager, with whom you will work closely.
The PO-Raad is the sector organization for primary education. The association represents the common interests of school organizations in primary education, special primary education, and (secondary) special education. In addition, the PO-Raad promotes innovative projects and knowledge sharing in primary and special education.
