Everyone in the Netherlands has the right to live a long and happy life. At the Pharos Center of Expertise, you’ll be working to make that a reality. The far-reaching consequences of health disparities and the way health is intertwined with every other aspect of our lives and society make this an important—and highly complex—task. Are you up for the challenge?
For the new multi-year program "Neighborhood Approach to Smoking Cessation," we are looking for a
Program Coordinator/Strategic Advisor
24–32 hours per week
Smoking is one of the leading causes of health disparities. While more and more people are quitting smoking, this is not the case for those in less favorable socioeconomic circumstances. They benefit less from preventive measures and support for quitting smoking. In the Neighborhood Approach to Smoking Cessation program, we collaborate with public health departments, social sector professionals, and community experts to foster meaningful conversations about smoking, provide better support for quitting, and create a smoke-free world for children to grow up in. Naturally, we do this with an eye toward and in conjunction with any other issues affecting the neighborhood. We are looking for a program coordinator/strategic advisor to lead this new program with a small team of advisors and in close collaboration with GGD GHOR Netherlands.
What does your day look like?
You will report to the Program Manager for Person-Centered Care and Support.
Are you our ideal candidate?
Where will you be working?
Pharos is home to people who demonstrate commitment, take the initiative, and work together to achieve great results. People who want to use their knowledge and expertise to make the Netherlands more inclusive. People who tell stories with passion, can really dig in, and switch seamlessly between working with administrators, healthcare professionals, and people who struggle with reading and writing. We’re convinced that a diverse team of colleagues with different backgrounds and ideas keeps us sharp and makes our work more impactful. You’re more than welcome to join us.
