Product Manager, Digital Care Guide

The Dutch Patient Federation represents over 200 patient organizations. It advocates for all people who need healthcare. Thanks to its members, the reviews on ZorgkaartNederland, the information on DigitaleZorgGids, the experiences shared on Mijnkwaliteitvanleven.nl, the input from over 24,000 Care Panel members, and the questions submitted via the National Care Number, the Dutch Patient Federation knows what patients believe is working well and what could be improved. With this knowledge, the federation, together with its members, influences healthcare policy. And the Dutch Patient Federation gives a voice to everyone who needs care now or in the future: in the doctor’s office and in politics, with health insurers, and in the news. About 70 people work at our organization in Utrecht.

Passionate Product Manager at Digital Care Guide

 (24–32 hours per week)

If so, we invite you to consider this position as Product Manager for the new DigitaleZorgGids at the Dutch Patient Federation.

About DigitaleZorgGids

DigitaleZorgGids is a website operated by the Dutch Patient Federation. The site is designed for patients and focuses on helping them make informed choices about digital tools and solutions. It places a strong emphasis on empowering patients to take action. The website is built around three pillars: using apps and digital tools to manage a medical condition, making informed choices about a personal health environment, and providing information about digital healthcare.

The assignment 

The strategy for the DigitaleZorgGids was recently revised. The product manager assists the Patient Federation with the implementation and further development of this new strategy. You will serve as the central point of contact both internally and externally. Setting up the product organization is part of your responsibilities. Driven by clear KPIs, you will work closely with colleagues from various teams to translate the product strategy into the functional and technical requirements necessary for the further development and management of the platform. You will oversee development and planning, collaborate with colleagues on content, monitor the available budget, and regularly coordinate progress with the Manager of Products and Services.

Job Requirements

• You have a college or university degree
• As a product or project manager, you have a proven track record of successfully bringing (digital) internet concepts to fruition.
• You can translate an organization's objectives into objectives for a digital product.
• You are up to date on the latest (technical) developments in the fields of content management, technology, and SEO.
• You have knowledge of and experience with database design, accessing data sources, and managing them.
• Ideally, you have knowledge of online marketing and communication strategies.
• You have experience with agile methodologies and are able to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• You enjoy working for a nonprofit organization.
• You’re a go-getter, you keep track of everything, organize tasks, and set priorities.
• You have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and can communicate just as easily with a policy advisor as with a developer.
• You are customer- and results-oriented, have a strong sense of responsibility, and possess the sensitivity needed to reconcile differing interests.

We offer flexible working hours. So this isn’t a job where you necessarily have to work strictly “9 to 5.”

We work partly at the office in Utrecht and partly from home.

Depending on your education and experience, the salary is up to €4,830.00 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek (Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, Scale 10). You will receive a one-year employment contract with the possibility of renewal.

The Dutch Patient Federation offers attractive employment conditions, including an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) and a career budget. The IKB provides you with a budget that you can use as you see fit—either to receive a cash payment or, for example, to purchase additional leave hours.

The Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement is followed. Under the terms of the agreement, you are enrolled in the Healthcare and Social Services Pension Fund.
