As Product Owner for Surveys, you will oversee the development of our application and related information products.
At the same time, you advise colleagues on the proper use of the application, assist in formulating methodologically sound questions, and ensure that the information is reliable and consistent. Your work enables the organization to operate in a data-driven, efficient, and methodologically sound manner, and ensures that our information products deliver maximum value to the NVWA.
Your duties and responsibilities are:
- As Product Owner, you are responsible for the ongoing development of the internal questionnaire registries, which means you will lead the product’s further development and ensure clear expectation management and alignment between the business and our IT organization. To this end, you actively gather requirements and wishes from the business owner, users, and other stakeholders and explicitly involve them in further product development and decision-making. You actively focus on clear priorities, advocate for the interests of all parties involved, and ensure stable and innovative solutions. In doing so, you ensure that everyone is on the same page and help build a future-proof product.
- In this role, you will serve as the content expert guiding the careful and thoughtful use of questionnaires within our organization. You help colleagues translate information needs into well-founded questions and ensure that we collect reliable and actionable information. This means that you examine the formulation, structure, logic, and measurement reliability of questions with a keen methodological eye, and support colleagues in making choices that align with their objectives.
- You serve as a sounding board for the business and are able to translate abstract information requests into concrete, easy-to-understand terms. You explain why certain approaches work or don’t work, and you encourage the use of standards, guidelines, and structure. By focusing on accessibility, clarity, and consistency, you help establish a recognizable and professional approach to working with questionnaires throughout the organization.
- Because the organization is large and diverse, you move seamlessly between teams, departments, and levels. You build relationships, listen to needs and expectations, and know how to bridge the gap between users, management, and specialists. You provide clarity, explanation, and direction, and you encourage colleagues to work in a data-driven and methodologically sound manner.
- This involves delivering training, developing frameworks, incorporating feedback, and sharing best practices. You are able to help users understand the reasoning behind decisions and empower them to become more confident and independent in using the tool. You provide clarity, structure, and a clear direction, while remaining pragmatic and solution-oriented.
- In addition, you will contribute to the further development of the cluster by working with your colleagues to establish clear job descriptions and refining or clarifying them as needed. You will actively propose ideas to optimize your own work or the relationships within the supply chain.
In short: you are the subject matter expert who ensures that our questionnaires and information products not only function technically, but also deliver real value—methodologically sound, understandable, and usable for management and reporting purposes within a complex organization.
