As an Education Producer at the Concertgebouw, you’ll work at one of the world’s most beautiful concert halls, in a place where there’s something new to experience every day. You’ll bring to life the projects initiated by the Education and Family Concerts department, as well as occasionally a regular concert from the Concertgebouw’s own programming.

Who are you?
- You have extensive knowledge and experience in organizing and preparing educational projects, musical theater productions, and amplified concerts. You have a practical mindset, work efficiently, and are able to maintain a clear overview;
- You have a good understanding of logistics and processes, and you take pride in doing your work with attention to detail;
- You have experience working with technical teams and creative professionals such as directors, composers, lyricists, and set designers;
- During busy periods, you can keep a cool head, and when the situation calls for it, you’re willing to make tough decisions. You’re used to working on multiple projects at the same time;
- You communicate clearly and are just as happy to welcome a visiting preschooler as a world-class soloist;
- You are able to express yourself clearly in both Dutch and English. If you also have intercultural communication skills, we would welcome that;
- You are also available early in the morning, in the evenings, and on weekends, and you (preferably) live in Amsterdam;
- You enjoy being part of an artistic team and know how to successfully support that team in bringing a new project to fruition;
- You have an affinity with the target audiences served by the Education and Family Concerts department and look forward to interacting with them.

What will you be doing?
You will serve as the point of contact for musicians, actors, directors, costume and set designers, technical and production crew, and colleagues both in the lead-up to the concert and on the day of the event. With your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and experience, you will ensure that the artists can deliver their best performance and contribute to the Concertgebouw’s mission to offer our visitors a diverse, high-quality program.
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
- You are responsible for the overall production of educational projects and concerts, both during the planning phase and on the day of the event.
- You will be the driving force behind and the point of contact for all practical, logistical, and technical matters related to production, as well as for communication and coordination with creative professionals and course instructors;
- You will schedule rehearsals, workshops, recordings, and artistic meetings; create schedules and production timelines; and coordinate the logistics for staff and equipment. You will enter all concert information into the iConcert scheduling system;
- You will develop the overall schedule for a project, taking into account participants, teaching materials, recordings, rehearsals, artistic development, and production, and oversee it through to completion;
- You will welcome and assist musicians and artistic teams, students, and teachers;
- You manage the concert budgets and provide timely input for financial processing;
- You will participate in project groups as needed to address issues that go beyond the scope of a single concert;
- You are part of the Education Team;
- As a producer, you attend the concerts to monitor quality and suggest any improvements.
What does your team look like?
You will be part of the Production Department, a dedicated and vital team of nine colleagues. The team is responsible for producing the concerts and projects for our In-House Programming and Education and Participation programs. The Production Department is part of the Production, Venue Rental, and Events Department. You will also be part of the cross-departmental Education Team.

- A salary between €2,949 and €3,854 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours per week);
- In addition, you will also receive an irregular hours allowance for this position;
- Full-time employment is preferred, but a contract for 30.4 hours per week is also an option;
