PR & Marketing Specialist – WestlandTheater De Naald

Due to our colleague’s maternity leave, we are seeking a PR & Marketing Specialist for our PR & Marketing department, starting November 1, 2022, for a one-year term: a creative, proactive, and flexible team player with experience in the theater industry.
What will you be doing?
- You will work to ensure the daily visibility of De Naald and all its activities, performances, and films;
- You will conceptualize, create, and write content for all internal and external channels, such as social media posts and copy, internal and external newsletters, press releases, website updates, photos, videos, and flyers, ensuring that De Naald remains visible to all target audiences;
- You maintain contact with talent agencies and artists to discuss the promotion of their performances, take the initiative, come up with creative ideas, and develop them;
- You will occasionally serve as an usher during our regular theater performances;
- You organize your own cultural events in collaboration with your colleagues;
- You have a good overview, are a quick thinker, and serve as a sounding board for the director on programming and marketing;
- Together with the director, you will serve as the point of contact for the press and maintain media relations;
- Together with your colleague, you will serve as the point of contact for De Naald’s partners;
- You will consult with key cultural partners regarding joint cultural events;
- You serve as the link between marketing, customer service, and the cash register.
What are you bringing?
- A bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, and/or communication;
- Demonstrable experience with (theater) marketing in a cultural or similar setting;
- Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of Adobe programs such as Photoshop and InDesign;
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS);
- Organizational and situational awareness, a focus on results, and curiosity;
- And, of course, a deep love of art and culture.
