
The Lorentz Center, part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is seeking a:Planning and Program Coordinator (32–38 hours per week)
The Lorentz Center, housed within the Faculty of Science at Leiden University, is a workshop center that hosts weekly international meetings for groups of 25 to 55 scientists. At two different locations, we organize approximately 80 workshops each year covering virtually all fields of science. During a workshop, scientists meet in person and virtually to discuss developments in their field in an open and stimulating environment.

In this dynamic, organizational role, you will serve as the central hub within the team, connecting people and maintaining an overview. You will be the first point of contact for researchers who wish to organize a Lorentz Center workshop. You will be responsible for the processes surrounding the various evaluation rounds throughout the year and for planning 80 workshops annually across the two locations. Thanks to your interactions with organizers and board members, as well as your collaboration with colleagues, the evaluation rounds run smoothly.

You will be working in a team of enthusiastic colleagues. The appointment will be in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities, initially for a period of one year. An extension is possible, depending on your demonstrated suitability. The salary, depending on education and work experience, ranges from a minimum of €3,226 to a maximum of €4,640 gross per month for a full-time position (scale 9).
